OUR SOAPS
What are TILED soaps made of?
Every TILED soap starts with a coconut oil base, chosen for its rich lather and natural moisturising properties. Depending on the variant, we add carefully selected ingredients like coffee grounds, sea salt, lavender essential oil, rosemary extract, citrus oils, and natural colorants. All ingredients are listed on each product page under the full INCI list. We never use parabens, sulfates, synthetic detergents, or unnecessary harsh additives.
Are your soaps suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our coconut-based formulations are designed to cleanse gently without stripping the skin's natural oils. Unlike commercial soap (which often removes glycerin during manufacturing), our cold process method retains natural glycerin, a humectant that helps your skin stay hydrated. That said, if you have known allergies or very reactive skin, we recommend checking the full ingredient list on the product page before purchasing. If in doubt, try our Discovery Set first.
Are TILED soaps vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes to both. We do not use animal-derived ingredients, and we never test on animals. All our soaps are plant-based and crafted using ethically sourced materials.
Why does each bar look slightly different?
Because every bar is handmade in small batches. The natural swirling of colours, the texture of the top, and slight variations in pattern are what make each bar unique. This is not a defect; it is the signature of a handcrafted product. No two TILED bars are exactly alike, and that is by design.
How long does one bar last?
With daily use and proper storage, a single TILED bar typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks. To maximise the life of your soap, let it dry between uses on a well-draining soap dish. Avoid leaving it sitting in water.
What is the shelf life?
Unopened and stored in a cool, dry place, TILED soaps have a shelf life of 18 to 24 months. Over time, the scent may soften slightly, but the soap remains safe and effective to use. Each bar includes a batch number for full traceability.
Can I use TILED soap on my face?
Our soaps are formulated primarily for body use. Some customers do use them on their face with good results, particularly the gentler variants like Purple Garden (Rosemary & Lavender). However, facial skin is more delicate, so we recommend testing a small area first. If you have acne-prone or very sensitive facial skin, a dedicated facial cleanser may be more appropriate.
ORDERS & PRICING
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. All orders over CHF 40 ship free within Switzerland. Orders under CHF 40 are shipped via Swiss Post at the standard rate displayed at checkout.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and TWINT. All payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
If you need to change or cancel your order, please contact us at fer@galeoperformance.ch as soon as possible. We process orders quickly, so we can only guarantee changes if you reach us before the order has been packed. Once shipped, modifications are no longer possible.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within Switzerland only. International shipping may be available in the future. If you are outside Switzerland and would like to order, contact us and we will do our best to find a solution.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are typically shipped within 1 to 3 business days. Delivery within Switzerland via Swiss Post takes an additional 1 to 2 business days. You will receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched.
How is my order packaged?
Each soap is carefully wrapped in tissue paper, placed on a bed of crinkle filler, and sealed with a TILED sticker inside a branded box. Gift boxes and bundles include additional presentation elements. We take extra care to make sure the unboxing experience feels as intentional as the product itself.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of handmade skincare products, we cannot accept returns on opened or used items. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and we will send a replacement or issue a full refund. Your satisfaction matters to us.
What if I have an allergic reaction?
While our soaps are formulated with gentle, skin-friendly ingredients, individual reactions can occur. If you experience irritation, discontinue use immediately. Please contact us at hello@tiledcare.com so we can assist you. We always recommend reviewing the full ingredient list before purchasing, especially if you have known sensitivities.
SUSTAINABILITY & ETHICS
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes. Our boxes are made from cardboard. The tissue paper and crinkle filler are also recyclable or compostable. We are committed to minimising unnecessary plastic in our packaging.
Where are TILED soaps made?
Every TILED soap is handmade in Switzerland, from formulation to packaging. We do not outsource production. Each batch is crafted by hand in small quantities to ensure quality and uniqueness.
ABOUT TILED
Who is behind TILED?
TILED was founded by Fer Rivero, a Switzerland-based entrepreneur and artist. After experiencing firsthand how conventional soaps and body products damaged his skin and hair, Fer began researching natural alternatives. What started as a personal experiment became a mission: to create soaps that are better for your skin, beautifully designed, and made without compromise. Every bar is still crafted by hand.
